Pay Rate $21/hr.

SUMMARY
Uses standard hand tools and common power tools to maintain grounds. Promotes and follows LJBTC, Inc.'s Signature Service standards and requirements ensuring a lasting impression of exemplary service resulting in supremely satisfied and loyal members and guests.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinates and manages special projects pertaining to landscaping under the direction of the supervisor or manager.
- Inventories parts and supplies. Maintain, troubleshoot and repair all tennis courts. Consults with and, if necessary, assists on work assigned with Engineers.
- Monitors quality control to make sure departmental work standards are met.
- Responds to customer requests in a cooperative, positive and responsive manner.

- Cleans, lubricates, protects and otherwise maintains all tools and instruments in the grounds department. Sees that all tools used are returned to the shop and secured in proper storage area.
- Cuts lawns, trims edges around walks, flower beds, and walls.
- Prunes shrubs and trees to shape and improve growth or removes damaged leaves, branches, or twigs.
- Cleans grounds and removes litter.
- Plants grass, flowers, trees, and shrubs. Waters lawn and shrubs.
- Cleans out rain gutters and catch basins.
- Installs, repairs and maintains irrigation systems.
- Conducts regular preventative maintenance duties which include changing, checking and cleaning of plants, pots and soils.
- Generates a work order on anything which is damaged, or not in working order, or that present a possible safety hazard.
- Operates greens mower, rideāon mower, and tractor.
- Cleans, lubricates, protects and otherwise maintains all tools and instruments in the engineering department. Ensures that all tools used are returned to the shop and secured in proper storage areas.
- Sweeps landscape areas.
- Cleans and maintains tennis courts.
- Rakes, cleans and sets up beach.
- Other duties may be assigned.
OUTCOME
The overall maintenance of the grounds and the facilities influence guest and co-employee impression of the total organization. Clean, well-maintained facilities and equipment will contribute to guest comfort and satisfaction.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, interpret and comprehend documents such as safety rules, operating and simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information to customers, guests, managers, and other employees of the organization. Employees must have the ability to communicate at the appropriate level of English for the position.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must have valid California Drivers License.

SCHEDULING
This company operates seven days a week, 24 hours a day. At times it may be necessary to move you from you accustomed schedule as task assignments demand. In addition, it should be understood that business needs determine the number of hours that you work.
