SUMMARY

Coordinates food service activities of establishment and helps ensure quality delivery of service by restaurant staff. Promotes and follows LJBTC, Inc.'s Signature Service standards and requirements ensuring a lasting impression of exemplary service resulting in supremely satisfied and loyal members and guests

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Guest & Member Interaction - Act as the primary point of contact for guests and members, ensuring satisfaction, addressing concerns, and creating a welcoming atmosphere.
  • Floor Presence - Remain on the floor throughout service to oversee operations, support the crew, and maintain a smooth workflow.
  • Service Standards - Ensure consistent execution of service standards, including timing, food presentation, and overall guest experience.
  • Crew Support - Assist and guide the crew as needed, providing direction and support to maintain efficiency and morale.
  • Problem-Solving & Decision-Making - Use good judgment to address issues as they arise, whether related to service, guest concerns, or operational needs.
  • Collaboration with Kitchen & Bar - Communicate effectively with chefs and bartenders to ensure seamless service and smooth coordination.
  • Table & Floor Management - Monitor table turnover, assist with seating flow, and ensure proper table maintenance.
  • Guest Recovery - Proactively handle guest complaints or service issues, working towards quick and effective resolution.
  • Atmosphere & Cleanliness - Ensure the restaurant maintains a polished and inviting atmosphere, addressing any areas needing attention.
  • Menu Knowledge & Recommendations - Stay knowledgeable about food and beverage offerings to assist with guest inquiries and recommendations.

OUTCOME

As a team leader, the supervisor will strongly influence guest impressions of the total organization. Additionally, the supervisor will provide needed support and guidance to the Dining Staff to ensure LJBTC, Inc.'s Signature Service standards

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of the unit in the absence of a restaurant manager. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance, addressing complaints and resolving problems.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Associates degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively to customers and employees of organization. Must have the ability to effectively communicate in English.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Must have and maintain a current Food Handlers Card and RBS certificate.

OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES

Ability to use a networked PC effectively with a working knowledge of word processing software such as (WordPerfect or Word) and spreadsheets such as Lotus 1‑2‑3 (or Excel).

Employees in this position have daily interaction with guests, kitchen and dining service personnel. Employees also have regular interaction with Human Resources, Purchasing, other department managers and Accounting. SCHEDULING

This company operates seven days a week, 24 hours a day. Shifts will generally be rotated unless you were hired for a specific shift, as much as possible to be fair to everyone.
